The chips looked like they’d been blanched some time the week before and were just warmed up in the fryer. The fish was freshly (over) cooked and came swimming in grease. The peas could be sliced they were so thick. My partner reported that the gravy was really good. We both had a bit of a dicky tummy the day after. More
Absolutely the BEST fish and chips we have had in ages! Friendly staff making us some ‘scraps’ was no trouble at all. Batter was beautiful and crispy, chips were delightful and the fishcake tasted home made…. Then if that wasn’t good enough the mushy peas were ‘proper’ and the curry sauce an utter delight.
